Mission
My mission is to help you become more aware of your own presence in the world and its impact on yourself, others, and your work in this world. “Presence” is the ability to be engaged with whatever arises in a way that enables you to act from your best intentions.
What is it that arises? – the intentions and actions of others; aspects of the environment; and mostly, one’s own thoughts, emotions and habitual behaviors. When we are able to recognize what we bring to a situation or an interaction, we are able to step back from our entanglement in our own issues, see the situation more clearly, identify more ways we can respond, decrease our reactivity, and act more effectively in the world. Couple this awareness with a focus on connecting with others through social-emotional intelligence and compassion, and we can increase our presence, purpose and power in the world.
The goal is a generative self, one freed to see the world clearly, and make and act on decisions. The impetus for this generative self is the ability to draw from the depths - of oneself, of others, of the environment. I refer to this process as Drawing from the Well
